I often said that if I have to choose one person who has inspired my career the most, it would undoubtedly be Dame Vivienne Westwood whom I work for between 2010 and 2012 in London.

In 2022, this collage was displayed at Amsterdam's Museum of Sustainable Fashion in the show "Fashion For Good.

Alyxandra Westwood who was the curator of this show, wrote under the work:

"The black-and-white photo  captures a critical moment in Westwood’s activism: using fashion week as a platform for climate action. This is something she is dedicated to, to this day.

Lamovsek has made a collage for this exhibition, a homage to Westwood’s work. The faces in the collage are all from people who were backstage during the London Fashion Week show, and other motifs symbolise warriors for the climate and Westwood’s do-it-yourself approach to fashion. This is also synonymous with punk culture and fashion of the 1970s.

Lamovsek created this work as a “love letter” to the time when she worked with Westwood, and a reflection on how artists and designers can be freedom fighters with and raise their voices on the catwalk."

This collage is not only a testamony of my closer work with Vivienne, it is also a nod to Do. It. Yourself. ( DIY) culture that we both embraced so very much into our works.
